About Colour
Should I have a colour scheme?
- A colour scheme for your wedding is important but not crucial, as you could decide to stick with very neutral 'colours' i.e. whites or creams. However if are looking to inject a bit of colour into your wedding, choose your colours very carefully! Many brides are influenced by their favourite colours or the season in which they are getting married. Be careful not to go overboard and choose loads of colours stick to one or two colours and use them throughout.
What colours should I choose?
- Seasonal colours:
At a winter wedding you can expect to find deep tones of red and green. Silver or gold are also popular choices. You could choose red and gold or green and silver for example.
For a spring or summer wedding, soft shades are ideal. Lilacs, blues and pinks are very popular.
For an autumn wedding deep reds and oranges are great!
-Other colours:
You can choose any colour you like for your wedding, do not be bound by traditional seasonal colours if you want to stand out and do something a bit different! I have seen weddings with a black and white theme that can look absolutely stunning if done right. You could choose deep colours like red, green or purple even though you are getting married in summer!
N.B Spend time choosing your colours and make sure that things match. It will really make a difference on the day as everything will look perfectly coordinated and create a great atmosphere!
